Minus5º ICEBAR at Mandalay Bay has unveiled a thrilling new collection of ice sculptures, transporting guests into captivating winter wonderlands. Perfect for visitors of all ages, the latest creations feature nostalgic 80s arcade games, a fiery phoenix, the mystical Zoltar, and numerous photo-worthy moments.
Surrounded by 100 tons of ice, visitors can explore colorful displays of PAC-MAN, Tetris, and other vintage arcade classics embedded within the bar’s icy walls. The phoenix exhibit, showcasing vibrant red and orange flames encased in ice, offers a striking contrast, while other standout sculptures include the iconic Zoltar fortune-telling machine and a life-sized dog frozen in time.
Crafted by award-winning master ice carvers Dan “Hollywood” Rebholz and Austin Greenleaf, the displays are made from 250-pound blocks of ice, each lifted and positioned by a team of four. The ice itself is produced using a specialized process to remove air bubbles, resulting in crystal-clear formations. These fresh sculptures are part of Minus5º ICEBAR’s quarterly Staying COOL program, designed to continually refresh the experience for returning guests.
“Minus5º ICEBAR is always pushing the boundaries of imagination, constantly elevating the experience for our guests with every new reveal,” said Noel Bowman, partner, Minus5º ICEBAR. “These vibrant ice displays aren’t just photo ops—they’re part of what makes us a must-visit attraction on the Las Vegas Strip.”
